Tim, 26, is a handsome devil. He's the center of his family's universe, the baby of the group. His body is his temple, he's a workout fanatic, as most of us know, and he's a huge consumer of protein shakes and a guilty
consumer of Dunkin' Donuts ice coffees. He's been trying to ween himself off of them. I think he's done it.

Tim has a huge number of friends, from grade school, high school, college (UNH and Quinnipiac), from softball, from teaching, from the gym, and from everywhere he goes. He's lovable as hell. He is the most adored person I know. To know him is to love him, as cliche as that is. It's just the truth.

He's Mr. Athletic, hates to be told he's looking "skinny," loves to play with kids, loves to be with his family, loves to be with his friends, loves to be with Andria, loves serious conversation, loves to bond, loves to connect, loves to be out, having fun. He's Mr. Social, but he's not one for superficiality. True friends, that's what Timmy seeks.

Family, it's everything to him. He's also stubborn as hell, and that fight is what's getting him through this. He will triumph.

The accident

Early Friday morning, around 1:30 on July 20, Tim was driving two friends home after a night of hanging out. Taking the off ramp at Exit 9N, 93 North, Tim took the turn too fast, the police say, and the roads were wet. It
had rained all day. He hit the curb, and his beloved Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled over. Tim, who was not wearing his seatbelt, went through the moon roof. He broke his back and collar bone, his hand, multiple ribs. They have told us multiple times that most people would not have survived this crash.

He was sent to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, then transported here, to MGH, the surgical ICU. It's one of the world's top trauma centers, and we are blessed that Tim is here. Tim's two friends, Frank and Justin, were
hurt, but not too badly, and were treated and released at the Elliot.

From what I have been told, Justin is the one who found Tim's cell phone and called 911. He saved my brother's life, so thank you, Justin. We owe you so much and hope you are OK.
